Fortuitus Information
Fortuitus was started on April 20, 2007.
Our Guild Masters are Gawain and Eleynnia.
Our Officer Corp consists of Jahanamet, Catophena, and Riffenstien.
Mission Statement
Fortuitus is a World of Warcraft Madoran server guild whose goal is to promote the game playing experience for all its members. We endeavor to provide an enjoyable, family-friendly atmosphere that works to develop a cohesive raiding team as well as individual player skills.
Guild Structure
Fortuitus consists of six ranks: Guild Master, Officer, Emeritus, Senior Member, Member,and Initiate. Together, the Guild Master(s) and the Officer(s) compose The Leadership Council.
The process for promoting members through the ranks will be set by a majority vote of the Leadership Council and displayed on the guild?s website for all members to access.
Officers will be appointed by the Guild Master in consultation with the existing officer corp on an as needed basis. No person will be eligible to run for officer who has not attained the rank of Senior Member. The duties of an officer include, but are not limited to, the following: checking the website daily and posting in guild forums frequently, supporting and publicizing the policies of the Leadership Council, high levels of participation in guild events, fulfilling administrative assignments, providing guidance and support in the areas of player development and guild membership for all guild members.
Member Rights and Responsibilities
To become a member of Fortuitus, the interested candidate must apply on the guild's website. Once admitted, members of Fortuitus must familiarize themselves with all policies set and advertised by the Leadership Council. Members are expected to act respectfully towards other members and to represent Fortuitus in a positive manner whenever dealing with non-guild players. Members must maintain an account on the guild?s website and review the website at least once weekly. Members are expected to support the guild by: farming for items needed by the guild, participating in guild activities, engaging with other guild members in guild chat and Ventrilo, and using their professions to benefit the guild.
Probation, Demotion and Removal
Offensive conduct or violation of guild policies may result in a member of any rank being placed on probation or removed from the guild. The Leadership Council is generally expected to consult and vote democratically before taking punitive action. However, in an egregious situation any Officer may place a member on probation without notice and the Guild Master may remove any member from the guild without notice. Persons who are subject to punitive action by the Leadership Council have the right to challenge the decision by contacting an officer in writing via personal message on the forums, detailing the action taken and why it should be reviewed. The officers will review the decision and contact the person with a decision.
